NCASS (the Nationwide Caterers Association) is the trade association for UK catering businesses including mobile concessions and street food vendors


Two years retained support, working alongside the in-house team to maximise the profile and potential of the organisation

Support by apt:

Primarily, our support is centred on securing the profile and reputation of the organisation both across the sector and nationally among consumers. This means our roles & responsibilities have focussed on the delivery of Trade PR across a number of different sectors, as well as National Consumer PR where appropriate. In addition, Crisis & Reputation Management has been levied where necessary to support the organisation when there have been trade incidents:

Key Results:

  • Generation of more than 125 articles in 2014, with an equivalent AVE value of over £160,000 and a combined circulation reach of 7.8million, generating more than 2,500 related posts on social media

  • Establishing NCASS as a regular expert columnist in a number of relevant industry publications including OOH Magazine and Festival Insights Magazine

  • Topical responses to breaking news events ensuring NCASS has a national profile; for example, the collapse of a cashless-payment system at a festival* last year which left many traders without payment – an official NCASS statement was issued and as a result, NCASS is now leading the way to establish round-table discussions with key stakeholders to develop a Festival best-practice report and a code of conduct

  • More regular approaches from journalists for expert comment including Sky News, BBC documentaries and many more. One such example is receiving a number of comment requests as a result of the Allergen Labelling Changes
